Wooden Stool丨Mortise and Tenon

An original design piece from 'Ziinlife' China. The concept behind the designer's idea for this wooden stool is 'different angles and curves but same strength and beliefs.' Handmade from solid Japanese Tamo Ash using traditional mortise and tenon joint technology which started 2,500 years ago in China. It uses special wooden joint structures instead of nails and glue to connect and reinforce wooden components. The technique is used to construct complete items of furniture and even entire buildings. The curved 'legs' require a high level of experience and craftsmanship to complete. There are two colour options.
